(BALTIMORE – April 9, 2023) – Be sure to save your spot for the hottest Black Wall Street Awards in Prince George’s County to date. And, given the number of events BMORENews.com has hosted there including the stellar event at Woodmore Country Club, that’s saying something!

Hence, Black Wall Street PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY is set for Wed., April 26, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm at Olde Towne Inn. RSVP to Bwsprincegeorges.eventbrite.com.

The business networking event first began in Washington, D.C. in 2011. The purpose is to celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race.

Honorees include the Afro’s Alexis Taylor.

Who is Alexis?

Alexis Taylor is managing editor of the AFRO-American Newspapers, a role she began in 2023 after serving as news editor. Taylor, a graduate of Morgan State University, started with the AFRO as an intern in 2011.

In her work as a journalist, Taylor has covered critical topics for the Black community, including voting rights, police brutality, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Aside from her work in media, Taylor has a passion for teaching and served Baltimore City Public Schools between 2014 and 2021.
