(BALTIMORE – December 4, 2022) – Be sure to RSVP to https://blackpressmatters.eventbrite.com/ for the BMORENews 20th Anniversary event, “Black Press Matters”, set for Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 3 to 5 pm at Nancy by SNAC located at 131 W. North Avenue in Baltimore.

The event will feature the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards and the “Dear Black Girl” art exhibit by local artist extraordinaire, Tamara Payne.

Honorees include Dr. Stacey Eadie, M.D., the Medical Director of Peds In A Pod Pediatrics, LLC located at 1105 North Point Blvd #306, Baltimore, MD 21224.

Who is Dr. Eadie?

Dr. Stacey Eadie is an American Academy of Pediatrics Board of Pediatrics Board Certified Pediatrician who lives to promote the health of children from birth to 21 years of age. For the past twenty years, Dr. Eadie empowers adolescents and her patient’s parents by treating and teaching preventative methods for illnesses through healthy and safe lifestyles and habits. She has accomplished her childhood dream of not only becoming a physician but turning her vision into reality to become one of the few private solo practitioners in her industry today. Her reward for faith and endurance is a successful thriving medical practice, Peds In A Pod Pediatrics, LLC that has been in existence for ten years. The practice prides itself on its concierge approach to service which has sustained its success for over 10 years. Her practice is accepting new patients for intake at www.pedsinapod.net.

After earning her medical degree to pursue her dream of becoming a Pediatrician, she trained at Children’s Hospital of Michigan/ Wayne State University in Detroit and received the highest level of clinical exposure to pediatric diseases and acuity. Dr. Eadie returned to her hometown of Baltimore to serve the community.

The focal point of Dr. Eadie’s passion and purpose is uplifting African American and underprivileged communities. In her early career, she and two colleagues co-founded a non-profit mentoring program, Soul Sisters, to establish a collaboration between female professionals and female adolescent youth in the Baltimore Metropolitan area. The program’s vision was to mentor youth and teach them to foster positive interpersonal relationships with one another. Dr. Eadie most recently founded the Underground Pipeline to Medical Sciences (UPTMS), a mentor program purposed to increase the matriculation of Black undergraduate students to graduate science careers of interest by teaming each with medical professional mentors in their prospective future careers. The urgent necessity for this program is to extinguish the declining numbers of representation of African Americans in the medical sciences. Her newest venture is Baby Docs, a Live stream via social media, where she and a colleague share medical topics and answer questions from the community during a vulnerable time in this global pandemic.

Dr. Eadie spends her leisure time with her family, teaming with her husband to supplement their son and daughter’s education and athletic goals. Her next goal is to complete her book, Maternal Instincts, a book designed to conquer the fears of mothers with sons of color in American society by giving mothers strategies to equip them to succeed and compete with their counterparts. Family, health, and community are Dr. Eadie’s passions and driven purpose.
