(BALTIMORE – June 23, 2024) – The West North Avenue Development Authority (WNADA), a key player in revitalizing the West North Avenue corridor and its adjacent neighborhoods, is embarking on a significant initiative with the launch of its next round of grant funding and requests for qualifications on June 27, 2024.

This is a pivotal moment in our mission to foster a collaborative approach, inviting individuals, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit businesses to contribute their unique perspectives and resources to the development of housing, economic, transportation, neighborhood, and green space along the West North Avenue corridor and its surrounding neighborhoods.

“We are looking for the most innovative and creative approaches to eliminating residential and commercial vacancies, stabilizing and increasing homeownership without displacement, establishing a variety of vibrant minority-owned businesses, eliminating food deserts, improving pedestrian safety and public transportation, and enhancing green space and environmental health in neighborhoods along the West North Avenue corridor,” said Chad Williams, WNADA Executive Director.  “This is an opportunity to be part of a transformative effort in West Baltimore.”

As part of Governor Wes Moore’s commitment to revitalizing West Baltimore, this grant funding will encourage growth and bring new development to the area. The grants, offering up to $12 million, will support the goals and strategies outlined in the West North Avenue Comprehensive Revitalization Plan.

Interested parties are invited to apply online.  The submission deadline is set for Thursday, July 25, 2024.

Please join WNADA for the Grant and RFQ Pre-submission Meeting on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 2 PM to 4 PM at Coppin State University, Science and Technology Building, Room 120.  This meeting will provide a comprehensive overview of the process, ensuring you are well-prepared to apply, and will also serve as a valuable networking opportunity with potential partners.
