(South Bronx, New York – January 3, 2025) – Sharday Urtarte joins BmoreNews as one of the newest members of its White House Correspondent team, and she is also a Dominican Communication Strategist from the South Bronx, leading transformative work at the intersection of digital communications, political campaigning, and community organizing. A graduate of The Ohio State University, Sharday advocates for Black and Latina maternal health at Planned Parenthood Federation of America National Office, shaping the narrative around reproductive rights and amplifying the voices of those often unheard. Her leadership in Planned Parenthood’s 2022 midterm “Get Out the Vote” campaign and Apple’s WARD Program (We’re Against Racism and Discrimination) highlights her commitment to racial and gender equity.

Beyond the headlines, Sharday is a sought-after speaker, having presented at Planned Parenthood’s Development Officers Council Conference and the Association of Donor Relations Professionals. She reshapes how social media and donor communications can empower marginalized communities and advocates for incarcerated women through her collaboration with the Frederick Douglass Foundation.

Sharday authored the Black Maternal Health Civic Engagement Initiative for the National Urban League Young Professionals, reaching 10,000+ members nationwide. Her leadership earned her a spot in the 2024-2025 National Urban League Congressional Advocacy Program and the 2024 New York County Democratic Committee Independent Screening Panel.

Recognized for her impactful work, Sharday remains committed to using her platform to drive lasting change by empowering communities and advancing equity for all.
