The giants who built Minority Business Enterprise didn’t act like this. Not one of them. (ANNAPOLIS – March 8, 2026) – I was there.  At the very first MBE Night in Annapolis. 0K BOSS Impact Fund: Apply for K Grant

Greetings, Happy New Year! My team and I have been hard at work since January 1st, building this year’s programs. I’m excited to launch our BOSS Impact Fund grant. Last year, I had the vision to launch a fund to raise capital, to invest in Black women-led brands. With less than 1% of minority businesses receiving capital, this was no easy job but I have always worked hard despite the challenges. As a Black female founder, I saw a…

BMORENews.com’s Commitment to Diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism for Black-owned businesses

By Doni Glover (BALTIMORE – February 7, 2023) – The state of Black businesses, often categorized by some mainstream zealots as minority business enterprises (MBEs), is a staple topic here at BMORENews.com and has been since our first day in August 2002. To his credit, then-City Councilman Martin O’Malley made MBE a key tenet of his political platform in both his mayoral and gubernatorial campaigns. O’Malley quickly realized that he needed the Black vote and because he wasn’t Black, he needed to push the envelope in an unprecedented manner. Being an outsider, what better way to endear oneself to Baltimore’s…
