Honorees include Pamela McMichael, RN-BSN.

Who is Pamela?

Pamela McMichael, RN-BSN is an Entrepreneur/CEO/Mentor. She is also the president and founder of Trustworthy Staffing Solutions, a Maryland-licensed healthcare staffing agency that began its operation in November 2005 with a primary goal to assist clients by providing compassionate, competent, and professional service.

In 2007, Pamela expanded the business to form a residential services agency that provides quality in-home nursing and personal care for elderly and medically impaired clients. She is an active member of
Maryland National Capital Homecare Association.

A thirty-five-year veteran of the nursing industry, Pamela received her training at Howard University in
Washington, D.C., earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1988. Her first nursing position as a
new graduate was with Howard University Hospital where she developed her clinical skills. In 1990,
Pamela accepted a position with Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore, MD as a staff nurse. During her
tenure, Pamela further developed strong leadership skills and a love for working in various areas of nursing
including Rehab, Medical-Surgical, Pediatrics, and Hospice care.

Gifted with her father’s sense of entrepreneurship, and her mother’s sense of compassion – and driven by a commitment to ensure quality nursing care, Pamela started Trustworthy Staffing Solutions as a means of affecting the quality of care provided to those in need of nursing services. The road was not easy. Many times she felt overwhelmed, however, sheer determination kept her focused on her goals.

From a young age, Pamela discovered that her success depended primarily on her own ability to “make it
happen”. She learned early how to discover a need and find a solution, how to transform “aspiration into
action”, and how to give back more than you receive. Pamela has always been motivated by a sense of
commitment to duty more so than a commitment to profit. She derives tremendous personal satisfaction
from a job well done, and Pamela is quite proud of the organization she built in Trustworthy Staffing
Solutions. Pamela vows to continue to build upon her experience, and strive for industry excellence as she
enriches the lives of those in need of nursing services.

In January 2016, Pamela, along with her husband Calvin, opened the H.O.P.E. Training Center. A center
dedicated to her deceased parents, Harvey and Harriet Brown, both entrepreneurs and owners of HB Tours
and Travel, Inc. H.O.P.E is an acronym for Helping Other People Excel which expounds on her pursuit to
be a benefit to others. Pamela and Calvin are also certified CPR/ First Aide instructors for the American
Red Cross. She utilizes the center to train and help develop healthcare skills in others. Pamela is most
fulfilled when helping people to grow professionally. Using her vision and ability to nurture others has led
to long-term solutions and success.
