Monesha Phillips to be Recognized at Black Wall St. PRIM & PROPER, 3.18.24
"As the proud founder of a Black-owned business that’s been in the game for the past 22 years, I’ve got a knack for novelty, an eye for innovation, and an undeniable pulse on timeless gifts and in-the-moment trends that delight gift-givers and recipients alike."

(BALTIMORE – March 7, 2024) – Be sure to mark your calendars for a very special BMORENews.com event: Black Wall Street PRIM & PROPER set for Monday, March 18, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm at 206 E. Redwood Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.

RSVP to https://blackwallstreetprimandproper.eventbrite.com.

Since 2011, BMORENews.com and its partners have recognized Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. To date, over 2,500 individuals have been recognized in 9 major US cities. The aim is to encourage entrepreneurship and to help preserve little-known Black Wall Street history nationally. Honorees receive the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award.

Honorees include Monesha Phillips.

Who is Monesha?

For one, this woman entrepreneur can clearly do her own introduction …
“I’m Monesha Phillips, CEO, owner, and creator of Pandora’s Box, Baltimore’s go-to destination for unique last-minute gifts. As the proud founder of a Black-owned business that’s been in the game for the past 22 years, I’ve got a knack for novelty, an eye for innovation, and an undeniable pulse on timeless gifts and in-the-moment trends that delight gift-givers and recipients alike. Over 250,000 individuals have stepped foot into my boutique, including some of your favorite celebrities – Nicole Kidman, Cal Ripken Jr., and even the first Black Governor of Maryland. Nominated as the Best Gift Shop In Baltimore and a finalist for Best Black-Owned Business, my boutique’s trendy, witty finds have been featured in countless media outlets from Google to Fox News to Baltimore magazine, Style Magazine, CBS, and so many more. But, I’m more than just a CEO and owner of a renowned brick-and-mortar business and retail buyer extraordinaire I’m ‘The Creative Hustler.’ Armed with intentionality as my superpower and a penchant for wowing customers with unapologetically audacious, fun, humorous finds, I’ve built a thriving business without any investors, wealth, or inheritance. It’s why I not only pour my time and energy into forecasting the next big trend but also make it a priority to give back to charities, schools, and upcoming entrepreneurs in my local community.”
