Join us on Mental Health Monday as we follow-up with Shannon “ICANLADY” Battle on being black at work. Research has confirmed what Black PEOPLE have been living. In certain workplaces, embracing our culture is considered “ghetto” while White co-workers are called “trendy.” Work-related stress negatively impacts our physical and mental health. In some cases, the consequences include financial losses, and the dysfunction can spill into our personal relationships. The ICANLADY will help us figure out how much work-related stress is too much and what we can do to successfully work while black.
