FLEET WEEK

MARYLAND FLEET WEEK IS BACK!

Maryland’s cherished event is back in person and even more exciting!

Maryland Fleet Week & Flyover Baltimore presented by Northrop Grumman returns to Baltimore City and Baltimore County this fall with an exciting line-up of ship tours, festivals, flyovers, and educational activities, taking place IN-PERSON September 7-13, 2022, at the Inner Harbor, Port Covington, Fells Point, and Martin State Airport.

FLEETS: Ships begin arriving in Baltimore on Wednesday, September 7 and include United States, and Canadian naval ships, U.S. Coast Guard vessels, NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric) and Army Corps of Engineers working vessels, the USS John Brown, and the Savannah as well as traditional sailing ships including the Danish sail-training tall ship Danmark. They will be docked at various locations around Baltimore, including the Inner Harbor, Port Covington, and Fells Point. Ship tours will be
available from September 8-12 from 10 am- 5pm.

FLIGHTS: NEW this year, there will be an exciting series of flyovers of modern and historic aircraft, September 9-11, centered at Baltimore’s iconic Inner Harbor. Eventgoers can enjoy seeing and hearing the roar of jets overhead while strolling around the festivals or taking tours, providing access to more people than in previous years. Located at the Inner Harbor’s Pier 1 at Constellation Center, Flyover Control features announcements and information on the flyovers by National Aviation Expert Matt Jolley.

FESTIVALS: The celebration offers three festivals featuring live performances, exhibitors, food, hands-on children’s activities, military displays and more at Fleet Week Festival at:

  • Baltimore’s Inner Harbor West Shore Park: September 9-11 from 11am-7pm, 401 Light Street, Baltimore, MD 21202.
  • NEW! Port Covington: September 10-11 from 11am-7pm, 321 E. Cromwell Street, Baltimore, MD 21230.
  • Martin State Airport Open House: September 10-11 from 9am-4pm, 701 Wilson Point Road, Middle River, MD 21220

Plus follow @mdfleetweek on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to get an insider perspective into the Fleet & Flights through virtual ship tours and behind-the-scenes experience.

Maryland Fleet Week and Flyover Baltimore will follow all CDC as well as state and local guidelines while executing our event this September. As Fleet Week is mainly an outdoor event, social distancing will be encouraged and when not possible masking will be recommended based on personal preference and health and vaccination status. When boarding both foreign and domestic vessels, visitors may need to follow specific rules and regulations based on the vessel. These rules and regulations for visitation will
be communicated before our event to the best of our ability. If any visitor is not feeling
well, we encourage you to stay home and join our event virtually.
