(BALTIMORE – November 27, 2024)—Be sure to RSVP for  BMORENews.com’s Black Wall Street SOIREE, our annual fundraiser to support our Joe Manns Black Wall Street initiative, on Thursday, December 5, 2024 (6 to 9 pm) at the Downtown Cultural Arts Center at 401 N. Howard Street.

As always, the event will feature the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards, where we celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race.

Honorees will include John Lee.

Who is John?

John Lee is an educator, community advocate, and founder of the Urban Advocates Foundation. Passionate about social justice and poverty eradication, John empowers individuals to achieve their dreams through dedicated mentorship and support. With eight years of experience teaching and leading in NYC schools, he is currently pursuing an MSW at Howard University, further solidifying his commitment to serving vulnerable families in Baltimore City.

Through the Urban Advocates Foundation, John is building a network of “dream coaches” to foster a supportive community where individuals have access to friends and mentors who help them thrive. His exceptional work with the LLD Scholars includes leading the Scholarship Boot Camp and executing a scholarship fair that expanded opportunities for youth in the community.

John also actively supports Sisters 4 Sisters Network, Inc., collaborating on education and mentoring initiatives to uplift others. His work exemplifies a steadfast dedication to creating opportunities and empowering communities.
