But beyond being the Speaker’s brother, who is Mr. Williams?

Barry worked as an educator, counselor, personnel specialist, EEO specialist, staff development specialist, high school principal, and area superintendent.

He was the  Principal of the Year for Baltimore County Schools in 1998. He has achieved many honors, including Eagle Scout, National Organization of Eagle Scouts (NOESA), Silver Beaver, and Silver Antelope.

Barry worked for the Baltimore County government as the Director of Workforce Development in the Jim Smith administration and became the Director of Recreation and Parks in the Kevin Kamenetz administration.  He worked one year in the Johnny Olszewski administration before retiring.

Upon retiring from the county government, Barry worked for almost two years as the regional president of Curio Wellness, a medical cannabis company.

Barry serves on many boards, including the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Greater Central YMCA, Baltimore Area Council Boy Scouts, Baltimore Blast, Maryland State Fair and Agriculture Center, Pikesville Armory Foundation, and Thread.

Barry has utilized his talents and skills in narration while working as an emcee in various locations, narrating pieces with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and providing voiceovers for many different organizations, including MPT.

Barry received his Master’s in Education for Counseling and Administration and Supervision from Loyola College (now the University).
