Doni Glover hosted “Empower Hour” on Radio One Baltimore’s WOLB 1010 AM from 1999-2020.

(BALTIMORE – August 6, 2023) – Unbeknownst to many, August is National Black Business Month. August is also special to one Black-owned business, in particular.

On Friday, August 9, 2002, Donald Morton “Doni” Glover established DMGlobal Marketing and Public Relations, LLC. The goal has always been to take the journalistic skills garnered over 30 plus years working in print, radio, TV, and internet media industry and use them to help small businesses, lawyers, nonprofits, corporations, authors and the like gain similar access so as to help their products/services better penetrate the Black consumer market between Baltimore and D.C. It is niche a market with approximately 2 million Black consumers.

DMGlobal is the creator of BMORENews.com, a Baltimore-based news and information portal that focuses on a 5-point agenda: Black business; public education (especially in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Prince George’s County, and Washington, D.C.); returning citizens (America’s prison system has 25% of the world’s inmates with Blacks comprising roughly 40% of the prison population although Blacks are only 13% of America); affordable housing; and universal access to healthcare.

DMGlobal and BMORENews also produced “Empower Hour” on WOLB 1010 AM at Radio One in Baltimore. From 1999-2020, it was the longest-running sponsored show in the nation on Radio One. Glover has also been a contributor to WEAA 88.9 FM since he was 15-years-old and was under the mentorship of Charlie Dugger.

BMORENews publisher Doni Glover has been a journalist since 1994 when he served as the co-editor and ultimately editor of the Sandtown-Winchester ViewPoint Newspaper. He credits longtime friend Jerry Cross with the opportunity.

Doni has been providing political analysis to local, national, and international news outlets – including CNN, TV One, Spanish TV, and McClatchy News – since 2000. Wanda Draper of WBAL TV 11, according to Glover, put him on the map. He served as a regular analyst on WBAL for over a decade. When Freddie Gray died in police custody, media opportunities came from all over.

At the end of the day, BMORENews.com has made a solid name for itself. It has a reputation for asking the tough questions and pointing out angles that the larger outlets miss.
