Although Tulsa was the most notable Black Wall Street or black business district, there were others all across the US and in Canada. Weeksville in Brooklyn. Durham NC. Jackson Ward in Richmond. Allensworth in California. Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Africville in Canada. Wherever we were, best believe there was a cadre of black entrepreneurs. Blacks owned banks, insurance companies, mills, stores and so much more!
