Honorees include Lisa R. Hodges.

Who is Lisa? 

Ms. Hodges is the Executive Director of Westport Community Economic Development Corporation and founding member of Hodges Development, LLC a firm delivering real estate advisory services for clients ranging from, for whom she is establishing a Community Land Trust, South Baltimore 7, LLC, Enterprise Community Partners, the Town of Easton, the Philadelphia Housing Authority, Mercy Loan Fund, Emerald Cities Collaborative, and the US Department of Housing and Community Development.  She also is a Senior Advisor to Oystertree Consulting, L3C, where she developed and delivered a five-day training in sustainability for HUD, managed a team of trainers, and developed a delivered an organizational assessment for HUD grantees and small housing authorities.

She is currently an adjunct professor at Morgan State University and has served as an Adjunct Lecturer at Howard University School of Architecture, Georgetown University, Tulane University School of Architecture Master’s in Sustainable Real Estate program, and developed and currently delivers an introduction to real estate development certificate program for faith-based organizations at University of Baltimore. She recently served as the Director of School Centered Neighborhood Investment at the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers, an initiative that leveraged the $1 billion 21st Century Schools redevelopment in Baltimore to spark private investment in surrounding communities.

Prior to joining Oystertree, Ms. Hodges was the Director of Real Estate for the Boston Housing Authority as well as Development Advisor to the Director of Planning and Development at the DC Housing Authority (DCHA). In these capacities, she was responsible for managing a portfolio of affordable housing projects with a value of over $150 million as well as served as representative to various local and national housing and urban policy organizations, including the Mayor’s Green Building Advisory Committee.

She previously served as Special Assistant for Housing Policy to the DC Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development where accomplishments include managing the Comprehensive Housing Strategy Task Force, the New Communities Initiative, and housing cluster agency coordination.  She serves on the board of Govans Ecumenical Development Corporation, Believe in Music,  and  SHARE Baltimore.  She holds a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School, a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Haverford College, and is a member of the bar in the State of Maryland.
