This Sunday, we take time to talk about the upcoming Holiday, Kwanza, which this year is celebrated December 26th – January 1st. In comparison to other United States holidays, Kwanzaa is relatively new. Kwanzaa embraces African heritage in the African American culture. It culminates in a big feast and gift giving. Kwanzaa is not a holiday which takes the place of Christmas. Joining us from Indianapolis, Indiana, is Dr. Jackie Green, a Kwanzaa expert who will help us understand the seven principles of Kwanzaa and give us suggestions on integrating this special holiday into our lives.
