Power52 Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit, has a bold mission – to break the cycle of poverty, unemployment, underemployment, and incarceration in underserved urban communities, not just in Maryland but across the nation.

1. Power52, Inc. does business as Power52 Foundation (Power52) and is a 501c3 nonprofit that was established in 2015 and is not associated with any other entity.

2. Power52 Foundation’s Visionary Cofounder, President & CEO is a female of African American and Mexican descent, who is leading the organization on the frontlines of economic empowerment and environmental justice.

3. Power52 owns and operates Power52 Energy Institute, the first Clean Energy Private Career School in Maryland that is approved by the Maryland Higher Education.

4. Power52 Foundation is one of the first two non-profits to ever receive approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission to own and operate a private career school In the state’s history.

5. Power52 is an approved North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioner (NABCEP) testing provider.

6. Power52 built the Nation’s first resiliency hub for Perkins Homes, a public housing community, providing essential resources and electricity to the community in times of natural disasters.

7. Power52 provides training, mentorship, and resources at NO cost to members from marginalized communities to enter the Renewable Energy Industry as Solar PV Installation Professionals.

8. Power52’s training curriculum is accredited by the National Center for Construction Education & Research.

9. Power52 offers alumni services, Power Pathways to its graduates as a way to earn additional stackable credentials.

10. Power52 leads the way in community outreach, engagement, and advocacy, driving initiatives to foster opportunities and inclusivity within the Renewable Energy Economy.
