Yolanda Pulley (D) announces candidacy for Baltimore City Mayor
Yolanda Pulley, Democratic Candidate for Mayor of Baltimore
(BALTIMORE – October 22, 2023) – Yolanda Pulley (Democrat) announced on Friday, October 20th, 2023 at 5 pm (EST) her candidacy for Baltimore City Mayor in the community of Penn North (known as ground zero to the Freddie Gray unrest). Calling herself “The Peopletician”, she pledged to serve the people (and not the special interests) with integrity, honesty, and transparency.
Candidate Pulley stated during her announcement speech that, “Politics should be about serving the people and not exploiting them.”
She added, “I refuse to be a part of a system that thrives on deceit and self-interest. I will not play chess or checkers in their ‘Game of Thrones’. I will not be a part of the ‘Art of War’ building a war chest to destroy people and communities. Deceiving people for money is easy. Standing with the people and not accepting the money is the hard part because they will never consider me as one of the top contenders without the money.”
Standing in front of Simmons Memorial Baptist Church before a large crowd, along with the City Wide Gold Stars youth marching band that led a parade up historic Pennsylvania Avenue, Candidate Pulley asserted that she is the better choice for the people of Baltimore City for her commitment to them is unswayable.
