This was the 20th year since this group first started meeting at Cactus Willie’s. It has evolved into one of the greatest demonstrations of Baltimore Black athletic history in real-time ever! NOWHERE in Baltimore – well, the cookout is actually in Woodlawn at the park – has this collection of living legends, particularly from the world of basketball. Shoutout to Timmy Greene and Company for selfless giving of themselves for OUR benefit for 20 years. Tim Greene played for the ’73 Championship Dunbar Poets. He is a legend. More than that – he understands the giveback. Shoutout also to Choo Smith and Dwayne Wood aka Kosher. They also understand the giveback. Respect.
