(PRINCE GEORGE’S – July 15, 2024) – Today’s guest on the NLRS is Yolanda Rivera-Quintanilla, a community advocate from Prince George’s County, Maryland. Yolanda has over 15 years of experience in community advocacy in youth development, human trafficking, sexual assault, and domestic violence. She holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy from Bowie State University. A proud HBCU graduate and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., she is a self-described “soccer mom” for her 10-year-old daughter, Yolanda, who has fought and advocated to create a better future for her family and community. Her passion and life’s work have been advocating for victims and vulnerable populations locally and abroad.
In addition to her advocacy, Yolanda is elected to the Prince George’s County Democratic Central Committee. Vice Chair for the Prince Georges County Latino Advisory Board and Former Member of the Prince Georges County Human Trafficking Task Force. She also has received several awards from the state and the county for her advocacy.
