The Black Business Roundtable: Trent Willis ILWU Local 10 & Janani Ramachandran, ESQ. 11.11.2021

WELCOME listeners to today’s episode of the “Black Business Roundtable! I am your host Doug Blacksher broadcasting to you LIVE from the city of Diversity Oakland California! ! Let us take a moment to REMEMBER our Veterans on this Veterans Day and thank them all Past, Present and Future Veterans for their Service and sacrifice! The Black Business Round Table and BlackUSA.News IS in the NEWS – See our interview next WEDNESDAY on November 17th with KRON4 Bay Area news here in Northern California!

Last week we discussed the October 26, 2021 decision of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors. The decision was a 4-1 vote regarding the Oakland and the A’s and the Howard Terminal. My comments in my opening last week were simple, “What is the BOTTOM LINE for the City of Oakland, Residents of Oakland and Businesses of Oakland?” This week I want to dive deeper into this decision and the LONG TERM IMPLICATIONS and WHAT other ULTERIOR MOTIVES may be at play!

Today’s show highlights:
The Howard Terminal updates and The Port of Oakland and Cargo Volume issues WHICH ARE CONTINUING as items are disappearing from shelves! WHY is this happening, WHY are the CARGO SHIPS bypassing the Oakland California PORT as an option to ease the CARGO Congestion in Southern California? Is there a connection that has yet to be uncovered? We also are experiencing a shortage of qualified TRUCKING PROFESSIONALS which is also of concern.

Weekly Check-in w/ Dr. Ashley Coleman, Department Chair/Assistant Professor of Psychology at University of the West.
-Trent Willis, Current President of the ILWU Local 10. Helping shed light on the issues presently facing the Port of Oakland.
-Janani Ramachandran, Esq., She continues to be our Social Justice Warrior fighting for Oakland one day at a time! Catch up with Janani anytime via her website www.JananiForCA.com and Instagram @jananiforCA.
