Angela Alsobrooks Makes Splash in Woodlawn on Heels of 60th Anniversary of Desegregation
Alsobrooks has the support of several Baltimore County elected officials.

(GWYNN OAK – August 28, 2023) – Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks made an appearance in Woodlawn today. She was joined by a number of Democratic elected officials, including Congressman Kweisi Mfume, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski, and Maryland Speaker Adrienne Jones.

Alsobrooks is a candidate for the US Senate. She told the audience at Gwynn Oak Park that she has already raised $1.7 million for the US Senate campaign.

Yesterday, this same location was the site of a 50th Anniversary Commemoration of the desegregation of Gwynn Oak Park. This was a theme for all of the speakers.

She has two primary opponents: Will Jawando, a Montgomery County Councilmember, and Congressman David Trone.

The primary election is on May 14, 2024.
