(BALTIMORE – November 7, 2024) – The New Life Recovery Show will feature JaVon Townsend, LCSW-C, on Wednesday., November 20, 2024, at noon EST. JaVon is a licensed clinical social worker by training and an artist and play enthusiast by divine design.
With a background in cultural studies and as an alumna of both the Fulbright and Albert Schweitzer Fellowships, JaVon has demonstrated ingenuity and resourcefulness in developing and executing creative approaches to problem-solving with diverse groups of people in the US and abroad.
JaVon approaches all of her work from the lens of understanding and appreciating who people are within their specific contexts. She is passionate about helping people live healthier lives by strengthening the mind-body connection, increasing self-knowledge and self-compassion, and cultivating community care.
JaVon founded Jubilee Counseling and Wellness, LLC to bridge her love for the healing powers of play, the creative arts, and fostering community.
