Garmatz Bldg.: Jawon Johnson, 18-year old Released: Case of Mistaken Identity



Harford County Police arrested and detained Jawon Johnson, an 18-year old African American college student/athlete, after a traffic stop on the evening of Sat., Nov. 23, 2013 thinking he was another man with a similar name. He was in a car with his girlfriend and other young people; his girlfriend lives in the vicinity of the arrest. He was released today from the federal courthouse in Baltimore (Nov. 26) in time for Thanksgiving. He is home for Thanksgiving from West Virginia State where he attends on a football scholarship.
