Emmy-nominated Doni Glover Show: Dr. Michael Sinclair 

​   The State of Black Male Enrollment Initiative Will Investigate the University’s 14% Decrease in the Critical Student Population and Recommend Solutions to Reverse the Trend

Dr. Michael Sinclair is a native New Yorker who recently relocated to Charm City, Baltimore, MD. He has earned a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology from State University of New York, College at Old Westbury, a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University, and completed his doctoral Social Work course work at Norfolk State University Michael was awarded the Paige E. Cook scholar at Columbia University for outstanding contributions to the profession of Social Work. Michael brings over 20 years experience in the field of Social Work and his colleagues describe him as having a passion for helping people. Michael has held a number of interesting professional social work positions in a variety of different fields of practice.

Prior to joining the faculty at Morgan State University School of Social Work, Michael worked as a Clinical Social Worker in Virginia’s Department of Correction and a school social worker. As the past director of Rutgers University’s, Project SEARCH, Michael has worked to coordinate the aftercare services of ex-offender youth. Additionally, he has also been the New Jersey state coordinator for Social Work p.r.n. and an administrator of a school/community based program for Grand Street Settlement. Michael has done extensive research in the area of Youth Development and has several written articles relative to Juvenile Delinquency and Gangs.
