George Owings Salutes BmoreNews for 20 Years!
George W. Owings III is an American politician. He has served as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs since January 22, 2015. He previously served as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Veterans Affairs from 2004 to 2007.

(ANNAPOLIS – August 7, 2022) – Dear Doni, I last saw you at Maryland Live! Casino for an event for the Maryland Agricultural event last year. I don’t recall who you were sitting with at the time, but l stopped to say hello and reminded you that during the Ehrlich/O’Malley face-off, l initially was in the midst of challenging O’Malley in the primary before a life-threatening medical issue got in the way and l vacated that pursuit.

I only point this out because you were the one person, the only person of standing, who showed me any respect by having me on your show many times. I never forgot your kindness and never will. With all that being said, l wanted to join the thousands of fans, listeners, and others who follow you daily in offering “Congratulations” on your recent milestone, your 20 years as the voice of BmoreNews on the Doni Glover Show. The impact you had on “us listeners” over the years and continue to have, is such that l am not sure even you are aware.

So, Congratulations, Doni Glover, and here’s to another 20 X 2!
Respectfully,
George Owings
