(BALTIMORE – December 11, 2022) – An extraordinary word of thanks must be expressed regarding Peggy Morris and the Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc. for being “A1” from “Day 1”. As a Black man in America who has covered news from East Baltimore to the Middle East and East Africa to the West Wing of the White House – and I say this with all due respect, there is nothing like the love and support of our beautifully powerful Black women.

Sure, people have visited BMORENews.com from all over the world, and we pray we give them a reason to come again soon and often. But during those times when it seems like you’re losing steam, it is the love from our queens that keeps us going. It’s not the money, but the love that fuels this ship. I cannot begin to tell you how impactful Black women have been to this news organization. They have truly poured into us from their souls and helped this news site remain relevant and viable for two decades.

So often, we – as men – only view our women as objects of sexual gratification. Too many of us never come to learn the value of a woman. Instead of looking at the whole sista, some of us never mature enough to even consider her brilliance and consequently miss out on a universe of blessings. When we only think about ourselves and our selfish desires, nothing really prospers. We’ve all seen enough of that. We need to see more value being placed on people, especially women because they truly run the world.

As the father of a daughter and the grandfather of a granddaughter, I have learned how significant it is to include our sisters’ struggles in our efforts. Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc. has long afforded me the opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of Black women. This organization partnered on our very first awards in Washington, D.C. in 2011 and our very first awards in New York City at the United Nations which my daughter attended. The hope is that together we can help recreate a world that properly and carefully nurtures our princesses into queens.

Again, thank you Sisters4Sisters Network, Inc. for your consistent support during our tenure. We have a history that is inextricably tied at the hip and for these gifts, we thank the good Lord! Here’s to the future and even more significant successes to come!

Special thanks to our sponsors:
Sen. Ben Brooks, Baltimore County Council Chair Julian Jones, Baltimore City Councilman John Bullock, N. Scott Phillips Legal & Business Consulting Services, Pizza Boli, & the Northwest Voice Newspaper covering Northwest Baltimore County from Catonsville to Pikesville
