“The most critical problem in the other America is the economic problem. By the millions, people in the other America find themselves perishing on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity… The fact is that the black man in the United States of America is facing a literal depression. When there is massive unemployment in the black community, it’s called a social problem. But when there is massive unemployment in the white community, it’s called a depression.”
– Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

(BALTIMORE – January 12, 2023) – Tonight’s Black Wall Street MLK by BMORENews.com at Terra Cafe Bmore was simply marvelous. Entrepreneurs, small business owners, business advocates, and supporters convened for an evening of business networking at its finest.

Since 2011, BMORENews.com and its partners have celebrated Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. The goal is to help preserve little-known Black Wall Street history nationally and to help inspire entrepreneurship, beginning in the Black community.

To date, we have recognized over 2,000 honorees in 9 US cities: New York, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Richmond, Atlanta, New Orleans, Birmingham, Las Vegas, and Tulsa.

Many thanks to Rondy Griffin for his ongoing support of our efforts.
