The truth is, he knows that recovery from drugs and alcohol is a full-time job, and so, too, is overcoming gambling. And he knows that access to treatment for these ills is not always a given. And that’s why he has uses his gifts and talents to help the people in his hometown. He wants to make a difference and knows he has to give back.

And that’s the beauty of the New Life Recovery Center on St. Paul Street. It was formerly a hotel. McCormick has assembled a powerful team of dedicated professionals there who serve anybody who comes through those doors with an earnest desire to change. A veteran of the US Army, McCormick runs a tight ship. That’s why the City of Baltimore and countless area hospitals have him on speed dial: they know he will help save a life.
