Tulsa was the home of the Greenwood District, better known as Black Wall Street. It featured 36-square blocks of Black-owned businesses. It was air-bombed and burned down by an angry mob May 31-June 1, 1921.
However, there were other Black business districts all over the country, including here in Baltimore.
