Who is Patricia?

Patricia A Newby, President and Founder of Strategic Business Partnerships, is an executive leader with 35 years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry. One of the highlights of her career was the turnaround of a struggling subsidiary, doubling revenue and growing profits by double digits. This experience provided the foundation for her winning formula for running a successful
businesses and the launch of Strategic Business Partnerships.

Retiring from Northrop Grumman in 2011 as Vice President of Programs – Weapons and Sensors, Newby is the president and founder of Strategic Business Partnerships, a business coaching, consulting, strategy, and leadership development company working with business owners and corporate leaders to build better businesses and develop more effective leadership skills.

Since 2012, working with her clients to build better businesses and to be their best selves, Patricia has guided start-ups through the business planning process, facilitated strategic planning for established businesses, and worked with business owners and corporate leaders to develop their professional skills and develop their unique style to lead with confidence.

Whether clients are working on their businesses or themselves, Patricia emphasizes the role of purpose, core values, and an intentional plan to define and manage the change that will help them attain their goals. As a PROSCI Certified Change Practitioner, Patricia brings a proven, structured, and practical approach to change management resulting in business and personal success.

As a leadership development trainer, Patricia engages clients in one-on-one coaching and impactful workshops that create a safe space for them to explore and exploit their strengths, connect with their core values, define their vision for their businesses and their lives, and develop and communicate their value proposition to excel as a leader in a manner that is genuine, authentic, and sustainable.

Her vision is to create a support system enabling small and mid-size businesses to survive and thrive. And for corporate leaders to use their unique leadership style to build great teams and create winning cultures. Patricia is a Baltimore native. She enjoys traveling with her husband, Hosea and spending time with her son, Jay, daughter-in-law, Kristyn, and two granddaughters, Harper and Adley. Being a part of a sports family, she, her mother, and siblings are avid Ravens fans.
