Black Wall Street RICHMOND at Maple Bourbon, 5.17.19

Black Wall Street RICHMOND, 5.17.19, featuring the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards. We celebrate black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race.

Tonight’s honorees covered multiple disciplines including law, bookkeeping/taxes, radio, spoken word and culinary arts.

To say the least, we had a spectacular time in Richmond! It is a city steeped in history. Thanks to Senior Journalist Charles Robinson (a Richmond native), we were able to get a quick tour – one that was unforgettable.

Thanks also to David Miller, my compadre. His guests included members of the local media – the Richmond Free Press.

Of course, we had to visit Jackson Ward and see Maggie Walker’s house. We also stepped onto the campus of Virginia Union University, Richmond’s HBCU.

Special thanks to Teresa Davis, Lee Vaughan, James MediaPope, and “The Parallelist” aka Janelle Harris. Janelle pulled together the incredible ensemble of honorees at our FIRST Black Wall Street RICHMOND! #blackwallstreet #teamwork #makesthedreamwork
