Joshua Clennon to be Honored at Black Wall Street HARLEM, 4.8.22, 5 pm, Harlem Business Alliance

(HARLEM – March 28, 2022) – BmoreNews.comin conjunction with the Harlem Business Alliance (HBA) and the DMFirm, will present Black Wall Street HARLEM 2022 at 275 Malcolm X Blvd. # 2, New York, NY 10027. The event features the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Award which is designed to celebrate Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race.

To date, BmoreNews and its partners have honored over 1,800 individuals in a dozen or so US cities.

Who is Joshua?

Joshua Clennon is a social entrepreneur, public servant, and former candidate for NYC Council. Joshua lives and works in his hometown Harlem. For the past 6 years, Joshua has managed low-income housing cooperatives to prevent foreclosure and increase shareholder equity for working-class homeowners.

In 2018, Joshua was appointed to Manhattan Community Board 10 as one of its youngest members and was elected Treasurer of the board in 2020. As treasurer, Joshua oversees and manages the community board’s budget. Joshua also serves as the Chair of the District Needs Taskforce which is responsible for preparing Central Harlem’s District Needs Statement and crucial budget requests to address key issues in our community such as municipal services, infrastructure, and funding for local institutions. Joshua also currently serves as a member of the New York County Committee.

Joshua is an NAACP NextGen leader who serves as Co-Chair of Economic Development for the NAACP Mid Manhattan Branch.
Joshua has been awarded for his commitment to public service by the offices of Congressman Charles B. Rangel, Public Advocate Letitia James, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer, and City Councilmember Bill Perkins.
