For nearly 2 decades, BmoreNews.com has earned a reputation for effectively covering the issues facing African Americans, beginning in the DMV. Our five core areas are: Black business; public education; ex-offender services; affordable housing; and universal access to health care.
From the United Nations to the White House to Annapolis to the City Halls in Baltimore and Washington, D.C., BmoreNews has consistently delivered pertinent news, editorials and information that’s too often overlooked or mischaracterized by mainstream outlets, including Freddie Gray.
Further, our news coverage has also been on-the-ground in other states and countries, including Ethiopia, Jordan, Tanzania, Jamaica and Canada. And we have a YouTube library with over 4,000 news clips.
Our aim has always been to better capture the Black experience in America using the latest in digital technology.
For the past 10 years, we have further expanded the brand with the implementation of the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards. To date, we have recognized over 1,700 Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race in several US cities, including New York and Atlanta. The aim is to teach Black Wall Street history and to inspire entrepreneurship in our communities.
We are only able to continue our mission, thanks to people like you who understand the value of the Black press and why the Black community must have an unfettered voice to illuminate our issues and concerns.
