This is what it comes to. When your community is being neglected and ignored – organize, strategize and get LOUD!
In the Biddle Street/Collington neighborhood – we are tired of our quality of life being ignored by out-of-town developers who have neglected to do what they are responsible for. They are purchasing vacant properties and then letting them sit which causes the perpetual cycle of blight and all the resulting quality of life issues such as illegal dumping and drug activity.
THIS IS AFFECTING OUR QUALITY OF LIFE
We are rising up against this devastating practice of exploiting the real estate crisis in poor black neighborhoods.
This rally is open to ANYONE who wants to witness and learn from a growing community-based movement. We hope to inspire residents in other neighborhoods to organize and stand up to DEMAND that the city STOP ALLOWING our neighborhoods to be destroyed by negligent developers.
