Press Conferencing Recognizing the 100th Commemoration of the Destruction of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street

What: Baltimore’s recognition of Tulsa’s Black Wall Street

When: Monday, May 31, 2021 at 5 pm

Where: Terra Café Bmore in the Jerk Garden, 101 E. 25th Street

Who: Invited guests include State Senator Cory McCray and State Senator Antonio Hayes, former Mayor Sheila Dixon, Tamara Brown, Wayne Frazier (MWMCA), Debra Keller Green (GBBCC), Jerome Stephens & Kenny Brown.

Organized by Doni Glover, this is to call attention to the need to preserve critical Black History so that the lessons are not lost. Glover has hosted Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards in several US cities since 2011. The awards have been presented to more than 1,700 Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. The formation of the I Am Black Wall Street Foundation will be announced.
