Whiting Turner invites your organization and your members to join them by phone  to take a “look” at what we’ll be bidding in the near future. On Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 8:00AM until 11:00AM Whiting Turner will have several members of each of their project and bid teams, staffing the phones. They will be ready to meet you, and to talk with you about what work Whiting Turner will be putting out to bid in the next several months. And as always, this event is exclusively for our diverse subs and vendors.


General Details:

  1. Whiting Turner will not have an “in person” event at their offices. Instead they will have a dedicated time period-8:00am until 11:00am, on Tuesday, December 15th, for you to call in to talk with a WT contact. It is an opportunity for a brief personal dialogue, without a lot of phone tag. We ask that you keep your calls brief. You will be limited to a 5 minute conversation. Additional conversations can be scheduled.
  2. Whiting Turner will compile a project list with backup project information sheets.
  3. Whiting Turner will provide you multiple WT contacts on the project list, no different than having multiple contacts at our tables. Enough capacity to personally discuss the projects and develop relationships.
  4. Whiting Turner will send you the project lists and backup sheets on Monday morning, December 14th, one day prior to the call in date. Please do NOT call until December 15th.

Whiting Turner encourages you to review the information before you call in, so as to focus your conversation on specific projects and the information you need.

Understanding the need for small business support that the local community continues to call for amid the pandemic, several local community development institutions have come together to provide new insights into what resources are available right now.

In this session, a group of local bankers and community development financial representatives will talk about the small business resources available to entrepreneurs and small business owners in Baltimore. Panelists will discuss how and when to access funding and the different sources of funding out there.

  • Detra Miller, Administrative Vice President and Regional Manager at M&T Bank
  • Rosa Scharf, Vice President and Business Banker at M&T Bank
  • Kaetlyn Bernal, Kiva Program Manager at Baltimore Corps

Sector 23 (Construction) Networking Event hosted by the
U.S. Small Business Administration

This webinar is for small construction businesses who focus on the Sector 23 NAICS Codes. Panelists will speak on their experiences in the SBA 8(a) program and provide helpful tips for success. There will also be a representative from the Maryland Procurement Technical Assistance Center to provide an overview of their services. An open Q&A between attendees and panelists will follow.
