Balto. Co. Councilman Quirk Appoints Harvey to Women’s Commission

(CATONSVILLE – November 19, 2020) – Councilman Tom Quirk has appointed Robin L. Harvey to represent the 1st Councilmanic District of Baltimore County on the Baltimore County Commission for Women. In her new role on the Commission, Harvey will work to educate and advocate for issues and programming impacting women in Baltimore County.

In response to her appointment, Harvey said, “More than ever there is a convergence of issues that directly impact the lives of women and their families.”

She added, “It is important that our focus be clear and our resolve steady as we face our challenges and bring forward solutions. I am looking forward to contributing to the mission of the Baltimore County Commission for Women and am excited to work with such a dynamic group of women leaders.”

Currently, Harvey serves as the Executive Director for the Maryland Department of Human Services Office of Licensing and Monitoring. Prior to her current role, Robin served in public child welfare for over 20 years, working her way through the ranks from case manager to director of a local department of social services.

Robin is a social worker by training and profession. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the College of William and Mary in Virginia and her Master’s of Social Work degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. She is also a 2020 graduate of Emerge Maryland. Robin currently resides in Windsor Mill, MD with her family.
