League of Women Voters: Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy. VOTE Nov. 3rd!

Twenty-five days from now, millions of voters will head to the polls on Election Day, November 3. But for the more than seven million Americans who have already cast their votes, it’s already “Election Day.” Early voting has started in many states and, because of the coronavirus pandemic, more voters are casting their votes by mail or absentee ballot than we’ve ever seen before!

If you haven’t made your voting plan yet, now is the time. VOTE411.org is your ultimate guide to the 2020 Election. It’s your one-stop-shop for information on registering to vote, early, absentee, and mail-in voting, poll locations, who and what are on your ballot, and more.

If your election plan is to vote by absentee or mail-in ballot, request and return your ballot as soon as you can. Deadlines for requesting absentee and mail-in ballots, where required, are quickly approaching.  So don’t wait. If you have the option, request your ballot today.

Voting early or by absentee or mail-in ballot isn’t just a great way to skip the lines on Election Day. It’s also a great way to help protect your community. If you want to vote early in-person, make sure you know your state’s process. And whether you’re voting early in-person or in-person on Election Day, you can help keep yourself and the rest of your community safe: practice social distancing, wear a mask, use hand sanitizer, don’t vote during peak hours (traditionally when the polls open and close), bring your own black pen (in case you can use your own writing implement), and wash your hands before and after voting.

We have 25 days left to stand up for our communities and make our voices heard. No matter how you cast your ballot this election, the League and VOTE411 are here for you in this final countdown.

Thank you for voting!
