Beginning on September 28, 2020, Baltimore City Public Schools and Baltimore City Recreation and Parks (BCRP) host Student Learning Centers, an in-person space to engage in distance learning. Around 1,000 students in kindergarten through 5th grade will be able to complete their lessons at 15 locations in both schools and city recreation centers.
Students will be selected to participate through a weighted lottery based on their needs and selection criteria. If you would like your student (grade K-5 only) to be considered, please log in to Infinite Campus using the link below.
Note: you must meet eligibility requirements to be considered. Preference will be given to students whose parent or guardian travels outside the home to work or who are homeless. consideration will also be given to students that attend schools that will host a SLC or that receive Concentrations of Poverty Grant Funds (see list here).

Middle and high school students are invited to participate in the 2020 – 2021 A Bridge to Academic Excellence Tutoring Program. Entering its 21th year, ABAE continues to offer tutoring in Algebra I & II, Calculus, SAT Math and Verbal, Geometry, Trigonometry, Chemistry, etc. at no cost to you.
Registration Packet and calendar can be downloaded from ABAE’s Web site. Complete one Registration Packet for each student. Read, review with your child, and sign the forms. Return all materials by: Friday, September 11, 2020, 3 pm by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Due to COVID 19, tutoring will be virtual/online fall 2020 through Discord and tutoring will begin on Saturday, September 26, 2020 and end on May 1, 2021. Tutoring begins promptly at 10am and ends at noon.

Starting this fall, we are collaborating with the South Baltimore Learning Center (SBLC) to offer FREE GED preparation courses! Although we cannot say yet whether the courses will be held in-person, online or as a combination of the two, we can say, now is the time to learn more about the program, take an assessment and enroll!
SBLC provides a supportive, rigorous and transformative education for adults who are eager to learn, motivated to succeed, and committed to making a difference in their lives and those of others. They educate adult learners and empower them to succeed by securing better jobs, enhancing their personal lives and contributing to their community.
SBLC knows that learning can foster an individual’s literacy success, which can learners have more career opportunities. Learners will have access to CEC’s Workforce Wednesdays’ programs and supports, too
