Based in Baltimore, MD, Bmorenews.com is an award-winning news and information website established in 2002 to address issues facing the Black community. From Day 1, Bmorenews has kept the focus on Black business, public education, ex-offender services, affordable housing, and universal access to healthcare.
Further, Bmorenews has covered local, state and federal politics. From Baltimore’s City Hall to Prince George’s County to the White House, this news and information website has covered a plethora of issues, elected officials and elections.
With visitors from as many as 200 nations worldwide, Bmorenews has covered news on-the-ground in states across America, including the White House and the United Nations. It has also been abroad to Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and Canada.
Bmorenews, so as to stay relevant in the community, has hosted a number of community initiatives events over the years, including the Love 4 L Section Prison Ministry at the Baltimore City Detention Center, talent shows at The Avenue Market, political forums and debates, as well as the ORIGINAL Black Wall Street SERIES *NYC *MD *DC *ATL *NOLA. This ongoing business networking series celebrates Black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. Bmorenews does this in honor of the Black business owners in Tulsa’s Greenwood Section who were bombed and devastated by the Tulsa Race Riot of 1921 and to encourage entrepreneurship across the land, beginning in the Black community.
To date, Bmorenews has recognized over 1,500 business owners and supporters of all races in 6 US cities: New York, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Richmond, Atlanta and New Orleans. The goal is to spread the message of entrepreneurship throughout the African Diaspora.
