Bmorenews to Recognize Baltimore’s Own DJ Duke at Bmorenews 17, Dec. 11, Friends Grille

(BALTIMORE – November 24, 2019) – Be sure and come out to the 17th Anniversary of Bmorenews.com featuring the Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards on Wed., Dec. 11, 2019 from 7 to 10 pm at Friends Grille, located at 737 Carroll Street. The event will feature local business owners and entrepreneurs, politicos, and, as always, The Joe Manns Black Wall Street Awards.

Donyae “DJ DUKE” Dukes was born and raised in West Baltimore, MD.  While growing up in the Upton area, He attended Mount Saint Joseph High School, Saint Frances Academy, and Carver Vocational Technical High School. He also attended The Community College of Baltimore County in Dundalk, MD. While there, He there he earned a full scholarship offer to Nebraska Westlyn College but declined the offer due to family issues.

DJ DUKE started coaching youth basketball at Cloverdale AC/BBA, while there he became the youth director of the legendary program. From there his love for music started as he would play music during local events as a hobby. After about a year of just messing around, DJ DUKE decided that he would like to become a professional DJ.

DJ DUKE booked his first event Father’s Day 2016 which was a cookout in East Baltimore, MD. He then booked his first party a couple days later after the cookout at Good Times Bar & Lounge which is also located in Baltimore, MD. Since then, DJ DUKE has been on the grind non-stop teaching his self to become a better DJ and crowd control.
