Who is WPB?
Founder and CEO April J started WPB in 2009 as an online magazine called Women Photo Book, but then decided in 2010 to expand into radio with the start of WPB Radio. It then grew to two additional radio stations, two national online television stations (WPBTV & Autoplay), and a partnership with LaunchTV a national television network.
WPB Radio streamed RnB, Smooth Jazz and Classic Hip Hop, HOT695 streamed Urban Pop Music, and WPB Gospel streamed inspirational music, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. WPB started with just a small computer on a desk in the corner to later growing into a fully-interactive professional studio with various on-air talents that not only entertained but also educated the listening audience.
In 2015, WPB Networks discontinued radio, and expanded further into television and media content and it is now known as WPB Media Networks. Viewers now have the options to tune-in from their computers, Smart Phone, or television.
