This event is a part of The ORIGINAL Black Wall Street SERIES *NYC *MD *DC *ATL *NOLA by www.bmorenews.com and its partners. The goal is to celebrate black entrepreneurs and professionals as well as the people who support them regardless of race. Since its inception in Washington, DC in 2011, Bmorenews has honored over 1,400 individuals in 5 US cities. This is the debut event for Richmond.
Who is Jamil Jasey?
Jamil Jasey is Richmond, Virginia’s creative philanthropist. With several donations of his time and talents, he consistently creates platforms for artists of all genres to make their presence known. Jamil has been the visionary and facilitator of citywide events such as “Library Out Loud”, where attendees would hear live performances by local artists and see images of visual art pieces while registering for library cards.
He also headed the Annual “Twisted Culture Arts Festival”, “Saturday Sessions”, and “Soul House in Library Park” among many other venues. These events have opened doors for local businesses to increase their customer base by virtue of his collaborative efforts to utilize their venues to platform local talent.
