Coppin State Hosts National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts Conference —Featuring Rain Pryor 

(BALTIMORE – April 5, 2019) – Rain Pryor, entertainer, playwright, and daughter of comic genius, Richard Pryor will be the keynote speaker for the 83rd Annual Conference of the National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts (NADSA).

Members of NADSA, an association of over 300 students, faculty, and arts and entertainment staff from the nations Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) will attend four days of workshops, competitions, performances, and panel discussions.

Coppin State humanities professor, Dr. Garey A Hyatt serves as NADSA national vice president for the 2018-2020 academic year.

As a professional organization for students, educators, and practitioners of theatre and the communicative arts, NADSA conference attendees will have the “opportunity to network, build skill sets, and share best practices of the arts and entertainment industry.”

The conference will take place at the host location, the Radisson Hotel Baltimore Downtown between April 3-6, 2019. Rain Pryor will speak at the awards banquet on the last day of the conference on Saturday, April 6, at 3:00 p.m.
