April Fahr to be Recognized at National Black Wall Street Summit, Nov. 8th, Greater Baltimore Urban League

Honorees include April Fahr.

Who is April?

April Fahr is an Executive Director/Head of Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management Anti-money Laundering Risk (“WM AML Risk”) group based in Baltimore, MD. She joined Morgan Stanley in March 2018 subsequent to serving over 21 years in multiple capacities in the financial services industry as a registered representative, compliance officer and regulator. Previously, she worked for Navigant Consulting as a Director in the Global Investigations and Compliance practice; VP, AML Compliance Officer for Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown; and Investigator for the FINRA Enforcement Department.

Ms. Fahr has served on Deutsche Bank and Navigant’s Diversity Councils as a senior leader and has served in the Baltimore community on the Board of Directors for Happens, Inc. She has authored various articles in the financial services sector, including an article entitled “Outside Business Activities…Don’t Get Caught Being an Outlier” published by Complinet/ThomsonReuters. She has also received Navigant’s “Excellence in Service” Awards in 2011 and 2014.

She graduated from Bucknell University and currently, resides in Baltimore with her son, who recently graduated from Johns Hopkins, and daughter, who is a sophomore at Sewanee.
