Coppin State Athletics to Hold Suits and Sneakers Tip-Off Breakfast Reception on November 2

(BALTIMORE – October 24, 2018) – Coppin State University will hold its First Annual Suits and Sneakers Tip-Off Breakfast Reception on Friday, November 2 at the Skyline Lounge in downtown Baltimore from 7:30 am to 9:00 am.  The reception will be to celebrate and support head coach Juan Dixon and the men’s basketball team who will be in attendance.

Among the special guests in attendance will be former University of Maryland Head Basketball Coach Gary Williams, who led Dixon and the Terrapins to the 2002 NCAA Division I National Championship. Williams went on to coach another nine seasons in College Park and finished his career with 668 victories.  Williams is a member of both the National College Basketball Hall of Fame and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Eagles, who return three starters including All-MEAC selection Lamar Morgan, open their 2018-19 season on Tuesday, November 6 at Wisconsin with tipoff scheduled for 8 pm.  Coppin’s home opener is slated for Monday, December 3 against UMBC at 7 pm.
