(BALTIMORE – June 5, 2018) – The 40th state legislative district is in the midst of a heated battle. Barbara Robinson, who ascended to state Senator when Catherine Pugh became mayor, does not have a cakewalk to Annapolis. Delegate Antonio Hayes is challenging her with everything he has, including Women for Antonio Hayes.
Karen Miller, a Baltimore politico, organized an incredible event yesterday for Hayes at Easterwood Recreation Center. Salima Marriott Gibbs, Dr. Anne O. Emery, Francis Parks, Adeline Hutchinson and other notable Baltimore women convened to demonstrate their support for a young man who has more than paid his dues in Annapolis.
Robinson had best be on her “A” game because Hayes is on his. Black women are the number one voters in the African American community both nationally and locally.
Early voting beginning June 14th and goes through June 21st. Primary Election Day is June 26, 2018.
