Message from Councilman Julian Jones, including upcoming Town Hall dates

There is a candidate forum next week hosted by Radio WMC.

I will not be attending this forum. Although, I do have another engagement, I will not attend for the following additional reasons:

  • This is not a legitimate forum because the organizer and his internet radio station has no standing in our community. He is only here to create divisiveness. He is an outsider, he does not live in our community and has done nothing to improve our community.
  • We do not need an outsider to come into our community and host a candidate forum, furthermore; it is insulting for him to think that we do.
  • There are many legitimate organizations in our community that will host candidate forums. These organizations have been working for the betterment of our community for years. I look forward to participating in those forums.

I have always been accessible and continue to keep the lines of communication open to the community. I refuse to participate in a forum hosted by an outsider who has never expressed any interest in our community. I  just want you to know that I will not attend and explain my reasons.

Thanks for your understanding and please don’t hesitate to call me if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance to you.
