Baltimore County School Superintendent Forum TONITE! (From the Desk of Councilman Julian Jones)

 March 13, 2018
Just a friendly reminder that the public forum for input on the next school superintendent is tonight at Carver HS in Towson. Your help is needed more then ever. We really need you to come and testify during the hearing. Due to the actions by those who oppose Mrs. Verletta White, I have altered the strategy to ensure your comments are counted. I also included a new link for the comments.
The opposition is on the attack. (See link to the Baltimore Sun Article below)

Baltimore County Council chairman’s vocal support for interim school superintendent Verletta White rankles some – Baltimore Sun

So this is the plan. Our Children need YOU to do TWO things.

#1 – Show up and testify.

#1. We need as many people as possible to show up at the hearing AND TESTIFY. Sign up between 5:30 to 6:30PM, Testimony will be accepted between 6:30 and 8:30PM.

#2. Everyone will describe Verletta White’s qualities, traits, experience, etc. as what they want in the next permanent superintendent of BCPS.

I would like the next superintendent to:

  1. Have over 20 years of experience working for BCPS.
  2. Have held the following positions in BCPS: Teacher, Principal, and Assistant Superintendent
  3. Focus on literacy.
  4. Have their own children attend/attending BCPS.
