(ANNAPOLIS – March 10, 2018) – To say the least, Bmorenews.com has been on the ground strong through the first quarter of 2018. From Annapolis to City Hall, we have covered a number of political events.
Most recently, Bmorenews hosted a 2018 Maryland Candidates Forum at Terra Café. (3.8.18)
Earlier that day, we sat for lunch with Maryland Governor Larry Hogan and Terra Café proprietor Terence Dickson.
On Wednesday night, Bmorenews attended state Senator Delores G. Kelley’s Night in Annapolis. While at the event, we got a chance to finally interview Johnny Olszewski. In a brief interview, we got a peek at a man running to become the next Baltimore County Executive.
Prior to attending Senator Kelley’s event, we caught up with Delegate Antonio Hayes. He’s running to become the next state Senator of the 40th state legislative district.
Tuesday night, Bmorenews covered Hassan Giordano’s birthday fundraiser at Terra Café. There, we spoke with Sonya Merchant-Jones, a huge supporter of Giordano for Clerk of the Circuit Court of Baltimore City.
Last Sunday, we had the opportunity to interview Baltimore Civil Rights icon Doc Cheatham at the park he and the Matthew Henson Community Association (and CDC) established with the help of the city and the state. Cheatham, in this interview, notes why he left the Democratic Party.
And, a couple of weeks ago, we covered the Democratic gubernatorial forum at the War Memorial Building. While we missed the forum (we were hosting a community meeting in Sandtown), we did get some feedback and a few words from a couple of the candidates running for governor.
